A teleprompter that uses the devices you already own. No account, no cloud, no subscription.

How it works

Write the script on the Mac, read it on the iPad, control it from your phone. Any of the three devices can be the editor, the viewer or the remote, and you switch whenever you want.

It also works on a single device: write, switch to the viewer and read. Nothing else needed.

Pairing two devices

• Open the app on both, on the same Wi-Fi network.
• Go to Connect: the other session shows up under “Sessions nearby”.
• Type the four-digit code the host displays, or scan its QR and you are in without typing anything.

From a browser, without installing the app

On the device hosting the session, open Connect and turn on Open in a browser. An address appears: anyone who types it on a laptop or phone on the same network can read and control it just the same. A browser can join a session but cannot host one.

Common problems

I can't see the other device's session

Both have to be on the same network, and the app needs Local Network permission. On iPhone and iPad it is in Settings → Universal Teleprompter. If your network blocks automatic discovery, type the address by hand: the host shows it under Connect.

The script won't scroll

Speed is worked out from what the viewer measures. If no device is in viewer mode there is nothing to measure: open the viewer somewhere and the duration appears on its own.

It reads backwards on the glass

That is what a real teleprompter rig does. Turn on Horizontal mirror in the viewer settings. If the iPad also hangs upside down, turn on the vertical one too.
